CE / EN Approval question

Hello George,

My colleague in Spain is back.
He replied that he is interested in your CO Alarm, but it must have CE approval (I believe the standard is EN 50291).

He also thinks there may be an interest in France, too.

Let me know if your detector can meet the CE/EN specifications.

Many thanks,

Sincerely, Bill

Bill,

” CE ” ….. Yes ” EN ” ….. NO, ….. The New CENELEC EN 50291 would require a major change in the “Electronics”.
EN 50291 says:
NO Alarm at 30 ppm, ….. for two hours. [120 minutes]
”         ”   at 50 ppm, ….. for one hour     [ 60 minutes]
”         ”   at 100 ppm, … for ……………    [10 minutes]
”         ”   at 300 ppm, … for ……………     [ 3 minutes]

Also, the last I heard from my Associates at British Gas and Monox, … the “Effective Date” of the New EN has been “Delayed” for three MORE YEARS.

While this New EN is FAR BETTER than UL-2034, … it is NOT truly a “Health” Monitor.

Regards, ………………….. George
