AN
HVAC CONTRACTOR’S SUCCESS STORY
I
WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO A HVAC CONTRACTOR THAT
IS SAVING LIVES AND IMPROVING HEALTH & SAFETY CONDITIONS FOR MANY FAMILIES
IN MINNESOTA.
Troy Latuff, General
Manager and his TEAM at
O’Connor’s One Hour Heating and Cooling in Hastings, MN, have purchased well
over 1,000 C
O – Experts Low Level C O
“Health” Monitors since Labor Day, 2007.
George,
I require my guys to do a FREE courtesy safety inspection on EVERY call. During maintenance visits it’s easy but if it is a repair call we just tell the homeowner something like;
“Part of our diagnostic (trip) charge is we also provide a FREE courtesy safety inspection, if I find something that may be concerning we will obviously share it with you. During this inspection I will check all of the safety controls of your furnace and water heater including the heat exchanger, I will check your home natural gas leaks using a gas sniffing device and I will also check for any levels of carbon monoxide in your home. I will also check your existing CO alarms to make sure they work and are safe.”
When we get to their CO alarm we look at the manufacturing date and tell them the life of most CO alarms is only 5 yrs. We then ask them if CO in their home is at all concerning to them. Usually that will provoke some conversation about stories, news articles, etc that they have seen. Then we ask “If YOU have Carbon Monoxide in your home how fast would you want to know?” They always reply; well right away! So that’s when we put their alarm along with the CO Experts alarm in a zip lock bag. Spray some CO gas into the bag and zip it up. 100% of the time the CO Experts alarm goes off first. Some of the time theirs NEVER go off? Then we ask a simple question “What do you think we should do about that?” The only objection is the $159 price. We point out a couple of the basic differences (low level stuff, sensors, etc) but at least now they are aware of the options they have. We also send people to www.coexperts.com because there is good stuff in there too.

AWESOME RESPONSIBILITY
BEING
FULLY AWARE THAT YOUR CUSTOMER’S LIFE MAY DEPEND UPON YOUR DECISION / CHOICE
OF THE C O PROTECTION YOU CHOOSE TO INSTALL IN YOUR CLIENT’S HOMES. WHICH OF
THE TWO FOLLOWING REPORTS WILL YOU BE READING
IN YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER
WHEN A C O INCIDENT OCURRS IN THEIR HOME.
CO
INCIDENT #1
Read
this recent CO Incident Report from Seattle, WA, Weatherization Department. Once
Again, two UL-2034 Listed CO alarms FAILED TO ALARM,
….. in this
case, ….. Thank GOD, ….. this Lady had a C
O – Experts Low Level CO “Health” Monitor that “SAVED HER LIFE” ! ! !
Hi
George –
I
finally heard back from the woman whose CO Experts monitor was the only one that
alerted her to a high CO situation. They were First Alert and Nighthawk,
although she did not supply model numbers.
Thank
You.
The
presence of TWO DIFFERENT BRANDS, a Kidde Nighthawk and a First Alert, simply
points out even more strongly, that if it is “Listed” to UL-2034, ….. IT
IS NOT GOING TO
FULLY PROTECT YOU, ….. REGARDLESS of the BRAND NAME ! ! !

But
the carbon monoxide detector didn't sound in time to help a man, 21, who was
found dead in the basement of a St. Paul home, about 10 feet from a
malfunctioning boiler.
About 1½ hours after Benjamin Little Walker, 21, was found dead
in the basement of a house in St. Paul's Midway neighborhood on Monday, a clue
as to the cause finally sounded.

*An
accurate, reliable, CO alarm may awaken you in a FRIGHT when it sounds its Loud Warning
at 3 a.m., but it will prevent the FUNERAL that might have
been necessary, if YOUR
CO alarm had “Remained Silent”,
like the two detectors in the Report above.
NEW
2007 Report REVEALS FRIGHTENING FACTS RESULTING FROM INFERIOR CARBON MONOXIDE
PROTECTION PRODUCTS AND PROGRAMS IN OUR HOMES: “50,000+ EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS
A YEAR DUE TO C O POISONING” !
CONCLUSIONS:
There are approximately 50,000 ED Visits for CO Poisoning in the USA
annually, 3-5 Times the numbers previously estimated.
As this disease can
result in significant long-term morbidity even when treated, enhanced
prevention efforts are warranted.
NONE,
ZERO, of these 50,000+ E R Visits would have been NECESSARY if every home
had one or more CO – Experts Low Level CO “Health” Monitor properly
installed on each level of the home. “LOW LEVEL” means “PEACE OF
MIND” for YOU and YOUR CUSTOMERS. NO
DEATH,
HEALTH
or
LIABILITY
CONCERNS.

IF
YOUR CUSTOMER REFUSES YOUR OFFER TO PROVIDE THEM WITH FULL C O – EXPERTS
“LOW LEVEL” C O PROTECTION, ASK THEM TO SIGN THE FOLLOWING “OFFER
REJECTION FORM” TO PROTECT YOUR COMPANY FROM LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF A
FUTURE C O POISONING TRAGEDY.
Rejection
FORM of Low Level CO Monitor Program
This
is to acknowledge to any and all concerned, present and future, that I am
REJECTING the offer extended to me by ___________________________ to
install one or more CO-Experts Low Level CARBON MONOXIDE "HEALTH"
MONITORS in my home.
It
has been explained to me that the UL- 2034 Listed Retail Grade CO alarms now on
the market are tested from 70 to 400 PPM only, as is clearly stated on the back
label of these CO alarms, and DO NOT provide CO Poisoning Protection at
lower levels, which will cause Chronic Low Level CO Poisoning.
The
Warning Charts shown on UL- 2034 / CSA-6.19 C O alarms clearly state that
they apply only to "Healthy Young Adults".
